Mommy and Talia had a special one-on-one Valentine date this past weekend. We went to the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. It was so exciting because usually there aren’t many gluten free options when we attend an expo. But at this one we could eat EVERYTHING!
There were so many delicious gluten free companies that showed up to exhibit. From Enjoy Life (we love their dark chocolate dairy, soy and nut-free chocolate chips!), Udi’s, LaraBar and BFree, to Love Grown, Kind Bars & Sun Butter, plus many, many more! Two of our favorite dairy-free companies were there handing out goodies to taste…So Delicious and Daiya. Even our local 2GOOD2B gluten free bakery was there!
We tried everything and ate our way through all the samples. Talia was so full that she started doing something unheard of….turning down food (she loooooves to eat!)!
We listened to some of the presentations and classes that were going on throughout the weekend and got to meet other cookbook authors and bloggers.
In a world where it can sometimes feel isolating to have to deal with food intolerances, at the Gluten Free Expo we felt included, embraced and CELEBRATED! Gluten free eating can be so delicious, healthy and fun!
